SAN FRANCISCO, March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Premise, the global leader in real-time, real-world ground truth data, announced their selection by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to help collect data that will be used in conjunction with policy analyses as part of the upcoming Arab Human Development Report (AHDR).
Premise will collect and analyze custom data from local citizens to inform ongoing research on the role of citizenship in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Arab countries. This critical information will inform the United Nations General Assembly 2030 Agenda and support the UN’s ability to support global populations.
As part of this new project, Premise is expanding operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This includes building new long-term country-wide networks in 12 new countries in MENA. Establishing long-term networks ensures consistency of task availability, providing stability for Contributor networks and allowing for quick data acquisition. The Premise App is also launching in Arabic.
This award marks the latest in a series of engagements between Premise and leading development organizations, like The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, and UNDP, aimed at leveraging the value of the data revolution and addressing information gaps.
