About the Report

The German Development Cooperation (GiZ) partnered with Premise to better understand gig work, collecting 1,387 video survey responses across seven countries: Colombia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa. The videos were processed using Premise’s innovative VideoAI tool to reveal valuable qualitative information about the gig work experience.

VideoAI blends quick, large-scale data collection with deep, detailed insights. The tool rapidly extracts valuable qualitative data by identifying recurring themes and nuanced subtopics while measuring the full range of emotions respondents express when responding to open-ended questions.

Be more efficient, agile, and effective with real-time, crowdsourced data.

Premise empowers international development and humanitarian aid clients to gather baseline data; track changes over time; gain insight into beneficiary perspectives and on-the-ground realities; and make informed decisions about program implementation and resource allocation.
